Meet our Founder
‘Yemisi - born in Nigeria, raised in New England, and currently living in New York City - founded Egunsifoods in 2017. She wanted to bring to her new home in New York the tastes and flavors she missed so much from her childhood in West Africa and encourage people to try food they might not have ever had before. So many of her favorite dishes, however, took ages to make, so she started thinking of a way she could bring these authentic West African flavors to people’s kitchens in a snap. The result? The soups and sauces of Egunsifoods!
